i was diagnosed with type 2 herpes on jan 16 of 2009. I had sex with a guy jan 1 of 2009.?
Is it possible on on 6th of jan i would have an outbreak already?I was diagnosed with type 1 herpes 6 months ago.
I had my period on jan 4th to jan 10th. I had a bunch of something that hurt me when i had my period.(yes it was on vagina) When i was done with my period i just put some lip balm on it cause i thought it was my pad rubbing on or against my skin. Within 2 days the rash or whatever i had went away. Is it possible that could of been a outbreak? After a few days of having sex plus having type 1. I heard that if u have type 1 that when i get infected with type 2 that it helps prevent outbreaks from happening or makes them less severe. Ok now. When i tested positive for type 2 herpes my levels were 5.00 for tye 1 and 4.10 for type 2. And this is a 2 weeks after me & this dude having sex!I thought antibodies took from a month to 6 months to build up for the blood test to pick it up.
U tell me is that possible. I think it was a guy i had sex with back in november. The time frame works much better with the anybodies is what i mean. It would of gave my antibodies about 3 months to build up to actually be detected on the blood test. Cause i know if its to soon to test it will show up as negative.

You are correct that you have probably been infected for at least a few months. Depending on your stress levels and your immune system, yes you could have had an outbreak, but it would not have been from your contact on Jan 1, the catch is you may have spread it to your partner from the 1st.
