This sounds like you have received a virus (yes, phones can get viruses, and chances are a PC scanner won't pick them up) and having not experienced this problem I don't know how to solve it.
However, if all else fails you could try flashing the phone (memory card removed) or resetting it completely which should remove all files on the phone. (back up what you want to keep first!)
What you might have to do is take it to a dealer and ask them to repair it... Also I am not sure whether virus infection is covered by warranty, and if you flash it you would most certainly void any warranty. Good Luck
